LARRY P. RITCHIE
RALEIGH - Larry Paul Ritchie, 68, of West Palm Beach, Fla., formerly of Raleigh, died Thursday, March 31, 2011. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 7, at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Montlawn Memorial Park with military honors.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

A native of Raleigh, he was the son of the late Richard Paul Ritchie and Martha Mae Thomas Ritchie. He served in the U.S. Navy as a naval aviator on the USS Enterprise. He retired from IBM in Research Triangle Park with over 35 years of service.

Surviving: son, David Paul Ritchie of Franklinton; daughters, Robyn Smothers (Monty) of Raleigh, Christine Morgan of Man, W.Va.; stepchildren, Brian Condo and Damien Condo of Florida, Alura Gambino and Caressa Condo, both of San Francisco; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary Ritchie, and a sister, Vida Mae Ratliffe.
