PILOT COMMUNITY – Travis Dexton Pearce, 63, died Friday.  Travis was a loving husband & devoted father who wished to be remembered as a kind and good man, which he definitely was. Should a friend or family member need him, Travis would always be there to help.  He loved riding horses and spending those wonderful times with his family, whom he cherished most.  Travis’ warm and inviting smile will surely be missed by all.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman Dexton and Adna Elaine Mullen Pearce, and his granddaughter, Hannah Grace Pearce.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Cynthia Pearce; children, Shawn Dexton Pearce (Jennifer), Travis Jarrod Pearce, both of Pilot, Staci Pearce Frazier (Cliff) of Virginia Beach, VA, Jordan Elaine Pearce, Jarrett Chandler Pearce, and Christian Rhodie Pearce, all of Pilot; sisters, Janet Sullivan (Britt) of Knightdale and Sandra Brooks (Tom) of Raleigh; grandchildren, Mallie Grace & Nikolas Brody Pearce; many loving nieces and nephews; and  horses, Barney and Bob; and his devoted companion, Rufus.
