PHILIP JONES OLMSTEAD
ROLESVILLE - Philip Jones Olmstead died Oct. 17, 2011 at Rex Hospital after a prolonged illness. He was born Aug. 5, 1947 in Raleigh to Elsie Carver Olmstead and Albert Lewis Olmstead.

He was retired from The State of North Carolina, where he worked as a Technical Systems Analyst for 30 years. He was an active member of Rolesville Baptist Church, Rolesville Masonic Lodge #683, Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, and the Amran Shriners of Raleigh.

Surviving: wife, Laura; children, Karen O. Carpenter, and Kevin S. Olmstead; one grandchild.

Funeral services were Thursday, Oct. 20, at Rolesville Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Randy Bridges officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
