RICHARD K. MURPHY
LOUISBURG - Richard Kelly Murphy, 68, of Louisburg, died Saturday, January 26, 2013.  The son of the late Johnnie Garvis and Wilma Burnette Murphy.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served in Vietnam.  
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Wood Baptist Church.  Interment will follow in the Murphy Family Cemetery. 

He is survived by his daughters, Angie Murphy Brooks and husband, Johnnie of Louisburg, Tina Murphy Jones and husband, Damon of Rolesville, Dee Vaughan and husband, Tyronne of Morristown, TN; his brother, Bobby Murphy and his wife, Patsy of Louisburg; his sister, Margaret Shearin and her husband, Robert of Henderson; his grandchildren, Meliah Pleasants and Devin Brooks; his great-grandson, Easton Brooks; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made for burial expenses.  The family will receive friends Thursday night from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Boulevard, Louisburg. Online condolences may be made to www.lancasterfcs.com.
