JAMES S. JOHNSON
WILSON - James Spencer Johnson, 83, died Sunday, March 4, 2007. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday, March 7) at Winstead United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. The Rev. John Wenberg will officiate.

Surviving: his wife, Cora Alice Bass Lamm Johnson; daughters, Martha J. (Elbert) Windham of Fuquay-Varina, Barbara L. (Willard) Osburn of Huntersville, Nancy Jean Lamm of Pittsboro; sons, James S. Johnson Jr. (Molly) of Richmond, Va., Robert (Wanda) Johnson of Apex, Luther Gene (Patrice) Lamm of Louisburg; sisters, Stella J. Johnson Wheeler of Tarboro, Sarah Johnson Wheeless of Nashville; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert James and Sarah Fountain Johnson; first wife, Shirley Parker Johnson; a brother, Julien Johnson.
