PHYLLIS T. ROSS
CHARLOTTE - Phyllis Timberlake Ross, 78, died Monday, May 15, 2006 at Presbyterian Hospital. A memorial service was conducted Thursday, May 18, at Harrison United Methodist Church, Pineville, with the Rev. Dr. Mark Plummer, the Rev. Gayle Montgomery, and the Rev. Terry Hammil officiating. Graveside services were conducted Friday, May 19, at Youngsville Cemetery, Youngsville.

She was born in Youngsville, a daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Claude Vernon Timberlake. She was a retired teacher.

Surviving: her husband, Bob Ross; daughter, Claudia Ross of Waxhaw; son, Bob Ross Jr. (Cathy) of Mooresville; sister, Carolyn (Byron); and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Captain C. V. Timberlake Jr., USW-Retired, and Willard Cooke Timberlake.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Humane Society of York County, 2036 Carolina Place, Ft. Mill, SC 29708.
