LOUISBURG - Christine Gilliam Evans, 92, died Wednesday afternoon, July 16, 2008. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today (Saturday, July 19) in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home, 103 W. Franklin St., Louisburg. Burial will follow in Lancaster Memorial Park.
She was the daughter of the late George Spencer and Mary Libbie Leonard Gilliam. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everette Evans, and her son, Linville Evans.
Surviving: her daughter, Delores Evans; sons, Sherwood Evans and Lewis Evans, all of Louisburg, Phil Evans of Memphis, Tenn.; brothers, Ashley Gilliam of Norfolk, Va., Percy Gilliam and Clayborne Gilliam, both of Louisburg; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to White Level Fire Department and Rescue, 2465 White Level Rd., Louisburg, NC 27549 |
