WILLIAM R. FRANKS
RALEIGH - William Robert “Bill” Franks, 61, died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008 at Rex Healthcare. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. today (Saturday, Nov. 1) at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service chapel, with the Rev. Tab Cosgrove, pastor of Hope Lutheran Church in Wake Forest, officiating.

He was born in Queens, N.Y., to William John Franks and the late Florence Bohne Franks. He was presently working with Barnhill Contractors in asphalt construction. He served his country in the U.S. Navy.

Surviving: his wife, Patricia Doyle Franks. stepdaughters, Lori Ann Levy (Edgar) of Youngsville, Patricia Ellen Barron of Berthoud, Colo.; father, William John Franks of Owego, N.Y.; sisters, Gail Franks and Donna Hall, both of Owego, N.Y.; brother, Robert Franks of Seattle, Wash.; and seven grandchildren.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a stepson, Edward Aaron Franks.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wake County, 1300 St. Mary’s Street, Fourth Floor, Raleigh, NC 27605.
