RAYONELL M. CONYERS
CLAYTON - Rayonell Moore Conyers, 74, died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009. Funeral services were Friday, Feb. 13, at White Oak Baptist Church, Clayton, with the Rev. Paul Tolbert officiating. Burial was in Pinecrest Cemetery, Clayton.

She was born in Franklin County to the late Joseph C. Moore and Dora Ann Dent Moore. She was a Rolesville High School graduate. She retired with 32 years of service as a supervisor with the North Carolina Department of Revenue.

Surviving: daughters, Denise Jones (Albert) of Plymouth, Karen Powell of Louisburg, Cheryl Ivey (Gary) of Clayton; stepson, Carlton Conyers of Raleigh; stepdaughter, Jackie C. Gregory of Orlando, Fla..; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Murray Conyers; her twin sister, Avelle Moore; sister, Edna Ayscue; and brother, Jesse Piper Sr.
