After Christmas Break, one of the key matchups of the season in the Northern Carolina Conference will take place Tuesday night at the Bunn Dome.
That’s when host Bunn will entertain backyard rival Franklinton with first place on the line in the girls standings.

GOOD MORNING: Welcome back to the real world. I had a very nice Christmas, thank you, and I hope that you did too.
The holiday ended rather abruptly, however, for some unfortunate motorist who failed to make that curve in front of our house on Terrell Lane sometime Sunday night or early Monday morning. That curve has claimed goodness knows how many motorists over the past 30 years or so.  I noticed the vehicle shortly after light.

For 34 straight months beginning in January 2009, our state has had an unemployment rate (seasonally adjusted) above 9 percent, and in 23 of those months the rate was over 10 percent.

VGCC graduates 12 law enforcement cadets in school’s 93rd BLET class
Twelve cadets graduated on Dec. 13 from the Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) course at Vance-Granville Community College, in a ceremony held in the Civic Center on Main Campus.
After passing the state certification exam, all are authorized to work in any law enforcement agency  in North Carolina.
