Allen Edwards died on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Raleigh to the late William Thomas Edwards and Barbara Walters Thompson on May 27, 1962.

LOUISBURG--Funeral services for Janice Marie Brown, 62, who died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018, will be held Saturday, Jan. 27, at 2 p.m. at Gospel Unlimited Church of Christ Disciples in Castalia, with Bishop Johnny Alston officiating. Burial will follow in the Gospel Unlimited Church cemetery.

LOUISBURG--Kenneth Ancil King, II, 67, of Louisburg, N.C., passed peacefully into the loving arms of the Lord early on Monday morning, January 22, 2018, after a 12-year battle with prostate cancer. He was surrounded by family in the comfort of his home at the time of his passing. Ken was a faithful and devoted servant of God, a loving husband, caring father, and friend to all.

LOUISBURG--Lue Joyce Greene, 84, died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018 at Transitions Life Care, Raleigh.

FRANKLINTON-- Minnie Lee Medlin Lloyd, 81, died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018. The family will receive friends Wednesday, Jan. 24, from 1-1:45 p.m. at Lancaster's Franklinton Chapel, 504 East Mason St., Franklinton, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

BUTNER--Roderick Tunnell Morgan, 81, died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018 at Teer Hospice House in Durham. A funeral service was held Tuesday, Jan. 23, in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home, conducted by Bishop Jimmy Price.
