AUSTINA P. ALSTON

LOUISBURG--Funeral services for Austina Perry Alston, 85, who died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018, will be held Tuesday, Oct. 2, at 1 p.m. at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Louisburg, with the Rev. Opie Terrell officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

BUNN -- Homecoming took on a literal meaning on Friday for the Bunn High School football team.
It had been four weeks since the Wildcats had played at home, but the wait was worthwhile for fans as Bunn cruised to a 57-27 homecoming decision over Northern Carolina Conference opponent Warren County.
