LOUISBURG, NC--Drucilla "Mema" Neal, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at her home. Drucilla was the daughter of the late Clyde W. Leonard and Iva O. (West) Leonard. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Earl Neal, son David Lewis Neal, brother Clyde "Pete" Leonard and grandson John Neal Hunt.

Louisburg, a club loaded with key freshmen and sophomores, continued its postseason quest by overpowering East Carteret by a 42-22 margin in Friday's second-round action of the Class 1-AA State Playoffs at the LHS Football Field.
