KYLE S. LEWIS “BIG KYLE”
March 23, 1993 – May 7, 2010
LOUISBURG – Kyle Southall Lewis, 17, of Louisburg, died Friday evening.

Louisburg has lost a special young man to a motor vehicle accident Friday, May 7, 2010. He was born March 23, 1993 in Raleigh. Kyle graduated from South East High School May 2010 and was planning to continue employment with Eugene’s Body Shop. He loved working on cars and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ray S. Lewis; uncles, Andy Lewis, Tommie Lewis and Randy Lewis.

Funeral service was 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Maple Springs Baptist Church, with the  Rev. Jay Tilley and the Rev. Jerry Hicks officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. The family received friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Maple Springs Baptist Church.

Kyle is survived by his parents, Brent and Sherry S. Lewis; sisters, Jessica Lewis and Megan Lewis; brother, Jonathan Lewis, all of the home; maternal grandparents, Wilbur and Shirley M. Southall; paternal grandmother, Margie Edwards; aunts, Diane Southall, Jennifer Parrish (Lewis), all of Louisburg, Kathy Southall (Fred VanGorder) of Swansboro; cousins, Chandler and Chase Parrish, Leah Tharrington, Miranda Allen, all of Louisburg, Patrick Lewis of Raleigh; and girlfriend, Niki Edwards of Franklinton.
