HELEN W. JACKSON
March 28, 1923 – June 2, 2010
LOUISBURG – Helen Wrenn Jackson, 87, of Louisburg, died Wednesday morning at her home.

Helen was a daughter of the late Ollie and Margie Smith Wrenn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E. Jackson; sister, Mae Joyner; brothers, O.J. Wrenn, Sr. and Maurice Stanley Wrenn.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Piney Grove United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Leo Bennett, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Lancaster Memorial Park.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Renee F. Hobgood; son, Doug Hayes, both of Louisburg; sisters and brother-in-law, Lucille and Lawrence Alford of Rocky Mount, Marie Wiggs of Raleigh; brothers and sister-in-law, Bill and Betty Wrenn, Russell “Pete” Wrenn; sister-in-law, Nurlene F. Wrenn, all of Louisburg; grandchildren, Ginger Pendergraft and husband, Josh, Gretchen Gupton and husband, Chris, Chance Hayes and Brandi Hayes; 3 great-grandchildren.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Piney Grove United Methodist Church, c/o Dodson Dickerson, 2240 NC 39 Hwy. N., Louisburg, NC 27549.

The family received friends 6 – 7:30 p.m. Friday at Strickland Funeral Home, Louisburg.
