FRANKLINTON - Annie Louise Moss, 89, died Tuesday evening, Nov. 9, 2010 at Hillside Nursing Center in Wake Forest. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today (Saturday, Nov. 13) at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, Franklinton Chapel, 504 E. Mason St., Franklinton. The Rev. Jonathan Chandler of Union View Baptist Church will preside. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

She was born in Franklin County to the late George and Annie Bertha Winbon Laughter. She was a long-time member of Union View Baptist Church in Franklinton.

Surviving: children, James A. Moss (Carolyn) of Raleigh, Cecil H. Moss (Brenda) of Fayetteville, Becky Burris (Tim) of Youngsville; sisters, Joyce Pearce and Shelby Laughter, both of Franklinton, Frances Peed of Hamlet; brothers, John Laughter of Wilmington and George C. Laughter of Durham; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Otis Moss; sister, Sallie Laughter; and brothers, Curtis and Kenneth Laughter.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in the deceased’s name may be made to Alzheimers of North Carolina, 1305 Navaho Dr., Raleigh, NC or to Union View Baptist Church, 13 Chavis St., Franklinton, NC 27525.
