LOUISBURG – Addie Lee Ransdell Strickland Cash, 92, died Sunday afternoon, Feb. 20, 2011. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday, Feb. 23) in the Ransdell family cemetery, with the Rev. Jared Pemper officiating.
She was a daughter of the late M. L. and Mary S. Ransdell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobbie Cash; son, Leonard Strickland; and four grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her twin sister, Mattie R. Harrison; sisters, Virginia R. McConnell, Josephine R. Hart, Mable R. Medlin and Eleanor Ransdell; brothers, John Ransdell, Fred Ransdell and Charlie Pergerson.
Surviving: daughters, Alice (Ray) Smith of Raleigh, Joyce Bunn of Pilot; sons Lewis (Page) Strickland of Wicomico, Va., and Karl (Linda) Strickland of Pilot; sister, Elsie Strickland of Knightdale; brother, Hartford Ransdell of Louisburg; 13 grandchildren; several great- and great-great- grandchildren.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Ransdell Chapel Baptist Church, 929 M.C. Wilder Rd. Louisburg, NC 27549.
