LAWRENCE W. LILES SR.
ZEBULON - Lawrence Wesley Liles Sr., 78, died Tuesday, June 21, 2011. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today (Saturday, June 25) at Zebulon United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Zebulon Town Cemetery.

A native of Wake County, he was son to the late Richard Wesley Liles and Ejay Johnson. He served in the U. S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a Jaycee for many years and won the Jaycee award for his work in designing Little River Park.

He was preceded in death by a child, Leigh Ann Liles, and siblings, Larry “Pete” Liles and Linwood Liles.

Surviving: wife, Jean Richardson Liles; children, Lawrence W. Liles Jr. (Beverly) of Raleigh, Lee Liles of Zebulon, Lawre L. Johnson (Greg) of Zebulon; siblings, Lowell Liles and Linda Pearce (Michael), all of Raleigh; and  seven grandchildren.

Flowers or memorials to Zebulon U.M.C. Maintenance Fund, 1121 W. Gannon Avenue, Zebulon, NC 27597 or Cancer Center Support Fund, 2500 Blue Ridge Road, Suite 325, Raleigh, NC 27607 are welcomed.

Arrangements are by Strickland Funeral Home, Wendell.
