BEN DOUGLAS WHITLEY
NASHVILLE - Ben Douglas Whitley, 66, died Friday, July 29, 2011. Funeral service was held Monday, Aug. 1, at Ridgecrest Worship Center, Rocky Mount, with entombment to follow at a later date.

He was born in Nash County, son of Rachel Boykin Whitley and the late Aaron Whitley. He was a member of Ridgecrest Worship Center where he served as an Elder. He was president of Whitco Pest Management and past president of N. C. Pest Control Association.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Whitley.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife, Ann Cone Whitley; son, Kelly Harris of Spring Hope; daughters, Tammy Whitley Bullock (Brian) of Wake Forest and Kim Harris Leonard (Sammy) of Louisburg; and seven grandchildren.

Flowers accepted or contributions may be made to the Ridgecrest Worship Center Building Fund, 1120 West Mount Dr., Rocky Mount, NC 27803.
