DWIGHT E. BRANTLEY
SPRING HOPE —Dwight Earl Brantley, 74, died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011, in Duke Raleigh Hospital.  Graveside services with military honors will be held Wednesday, Sept. 21, at 11:00 a.m. at Pine Ridge Baptist Church cemetery with the Rev. Cameron Currin officiating.

He was the son of late Frances Chappell Brantley,  and was a veteran of the United States Air Force where he served during the Korean War.  He retired from Lucent Technology and was preceded in death by two brothers, William & Allen Brantley. 

Surviving: wife, Irene Brantley; two daughters, Fran B. Perry (Jeff) of Spring Hope and Martha Debevec of Goldsboro; son, Kenneth Brantley of Bunn; sisters, Ann Burns (T.J.) of Cary, Sheila Cunningham (John) of Vienna, Va.; brother, Neal Brantley (Diane) of Clayton; one grandson;  and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Pine Ridge Baptist Church, 874 Pine Ridge Road, Zebulon, NC  27597.  The flag in front of the funeral home flies at half-staff in honor of Mr. Brantley’s service to his country.
