MYRTLE B. CARTER
August 30, 1925 – December 9, 2011
LOUISBURG – Myrtle Beatrice Carter, 86, of Louisburg, passed away Friday morning.

Ms. Carter was a daughter of the late James Willie and Ruth Catlette Carter. She was preceded in death by her sister, Willie C. Hardegree; brothers, Earl Carter and Glynn Carter. She was a member of Bunn Baptist Church. She retired in 1989 as a buyer for Hudson Belk and delivered Meals on Wheels for Franklin County.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home, with Dr. Reggie Rushing and the Rev. Michael Spain officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.

Ms. Carter is survived by her sister, Mildred C. Parker of Raleigh; brother and sister-in-law, James and Betty Carter of Mead, WA; sister-in-law, Harlowe A. Carter of Louisburg;  best friend, Mary O’Neal of Wake Forest; numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bunn Baptist Church, Building Fund, 205 E. Jewett Ave., Bunn, NC 27508.
