T.M. “COY” DUKE
June 30, 1936 – January 29, 2012

LOUISBURG – Tim McCoy “Coy” Duke, 75, of Louisburg, died Sunday afternoon at Nash General Hospital.

Coy was a son of the late Timothy and Priscilla Rowe Duke. He was a farmer that loved working with cows and said he would never retire.

Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with the Rev. Luke Smith officiating.

Coy is survived by his wife of 54 years, Elaine Cottrell Duke; children, Deborah May and husband, Steve, Tim Duke, Jr. and wife Margo, David Duke and wife, Rita, and Danny Duke; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty Jean Holmes; Dot and Wayne Gupton, Diane and Grant Loftin; brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Nell Duke; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 111 Laurel Mill Rd. Louisburg, NC 27549.
The family will receive friends 7 -8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Strickland Funeral Home, Louisburg, www.stricklandfuneralhome.net.
