LEVOIE K. SENTER
July 5, 1940 – March 19, 2012
FRANKLINTON - Levoie K. Senter of Franklinton passed away on March 19, 2012 following a two-year battle with cancer.  Levoie was born on July 5, 1940 in Franklinton to Elizabeth ‘Lizzie’ Woodlief Kearney and Elic ‘Hump’ Kearney.  A 1958 graduate of Franklinton High School, she worked briefly for Leggett’s of Franklinton before beginning a career at First Citizens Bank that spanned nearly 40 years, retiring in 1997.

Levoie was predeceased by her parents; a son, James Larry Senter, Jr.; her brother, Leon Kearney, and two sisters, Geraldine Brown and Betty Setzer; and two nephews, Edward Lee Kearney and Evan Tucker.  Funeral services will be held at Franklinton Baptist Church 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon, March 22, 2012, with the Reverend David Averette officiating. 

Levoie is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Larry Senter; son Chris Senter and wife, Kim, of Wallace, NC; son Elic Senter and partner, Ed Cottle, of Franklinton; sister, Evelyn Harris and husband, Ray, of Franklinton; two grandchildren, Kristen and Caleb; and two step-grandchildren, Megan and Carmen; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

 The family will receive visitors at Bright Funeral Home, Wake Forest, on Wednesday March 21, 2012 from 6:30 p.m. – 9 p.m.
