ETHEL T. TAYLOR
LOUISBURG - Ethel Tyree Taylor, 92, died at her home on Wednesday, July 25, 2012. She had previously lived in Raleigh. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 28, at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale.

Born in Rocky Mount, she was the only child of the late Reynoldson Cyrus Tyree and Ethel Carson Tyree. She studied art in NYC at the Traphagen School of Fashion Design. She and her husband, Richard B. Taylor Sr., moved to Raleigh where she was a commercial artist in advertising as her husband studied Floriculture at NC State College and began their business, Taylor’s Nursery.

Surviving: children, Richard Jr. (Marian), Ann Gonski (Rod), Frances Moore (Dave), Lyn Gregory (Mike); and six grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard B. Taylor Sr.

The Taylor family will receive relatives and friends immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions be made to the Wake County SPCA, 200 Petfinder Lane, Raleigh, NC 27603.
