MATTIE H. OAKLEY
LOUISBURG - Mattie Harrison Oakley, 91, of Louisburg, died Saturday, November 17, 2012, at Warren Hills Nursing Center. She was born in Franklin County and was the daughter of the late William Lindsay Harrison and Annie Dean Harrison. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Oakley.  Mrs. Oakley was a member of Perry’s Chapel Baptist Church and worked for over 25 years at the Murphy House Restaurant in Louisburg.  Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services Chapel with Rev. Clyde Waiden officiating.  Burial followed in Perry’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughters, Diane Layton of Louisburg; Lindy Wood and her husband, Leonard of Mt. Airy; her son, Woody Williams and his wife, Linda of Henrico; her step-son, Billy Oakley and wife, Wanda of Franklinton; two grandsons, Keith Layton and Sam Williams; four great grandchildren, Tyler, Parker and Jake Layton and Raegan Williams. 

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be made to www.lancasterfcs.com.
