RICHARD GAMBLE BRYANT
FRANKLINTON - Richard Gamble Bryant, 57, of Franklinton, formerly of Cary, NC, died Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Wake Forest University Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC.

Richard was born April 29, 1955 in Charlotte, NC to the late William Howard Bryant and Blanche Gamble Bryant. He was a graduate of Cary High School and was employed in the transportation business with Monarch, Estes Express and Wake Stone Companies throughout his career. Richard was an avid fisherman and a hell of a good storyteller.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Patricia Medlin.

Richard is survived by his wife of 36 years, Denise Williams Bryant; daughters, Patricia Gamble Bryant Privette and her husband, Randy; Elgie Denise Bryant; sister, Judith B. Arnold and her husband, Samuel; brothers, William T. Bryant and his wife, Donna; and James Howard Bryant and his wife, Vicki; 3 grandchildren, Ricky G. Bryant; Haley D. Privette; and Gracie A. Bryant.

A funeral service was held 1 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2013 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home Chapel, 200 SE Maynard Road, Cary, NC 27511. The family received friends 12-1 p.m. prior to the service.
