DELORES T. STALLINGS
FREDERICKSBURG, VA - Delores Tiller Stallings, 61, of Spotsylvania County, passed away peacefully with her husband and children by her side on Monday, March 4, 2013 at University of VA Hospital.

Delores was born and raised in Bluefield, West Virginia and graduated from Bluefield College. She possessed a true servant’s heart as she was a woman of faith, devotion, and love for her family and friends. Delores was a dedicated member of Fredericksburg Baptist Church for over 27 years and inspired countless others through her involvement in the church and community programs. She especially touched many children’s lives through her years of teaching preschool, music, Sunday school and other related programs at the church.  Delores also enjoyed music, hand bells, horses, gardening and caring for her husband and 3 children.

Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Wade Stallings, and her 3 children, Amy Habel (Daniel) of Richmond; Jonathan Stallings of Blacksburg; and Robert Stallings of Indiana, PA.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm on Wed, March 6, at Covenant Funeral Service in Fredericksburg.  A celebration service will be held at 7 pm on Thurs, March 7, at Fredericksburg Baptist Church. A reception will follow at the church at 8 pm.  Interment will be held at 1 pm on Friday, March 8, at Red Bud Baptist Church Cemetery in Castalia, NC.

At the family’s request, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fredericksburg Baptist Church, which will help support their hand bell program as Delores did for over 27 years. Their address is 1019 Princess Anne Street, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22401.  Please note in the memorandum area of the check that it is for Delores T. Stallings.
