LOUISBURG - Sarah Edwards Peoples, 91, died Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013 at Louisburg Nursing Center.  Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 3, at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Kellie Gallagher-Smith officiating. Interment followed in Lancaster Memorial Park. 

She was born to the late Isham Hamlin and Lula Ethel Dunn Edwards.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Lassiter Peoples Sr.  She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and worked with Justice Manufacturing Company for several years.

Surviving: sons Fred Jr. (Ann) Peoples of Louisburg, Benjamin Ronald Peoples of Creedmoor; daughters Frances P. Corbett of Clayton, Elizabeth  Strickland (Phillip) Finn of Youngsville, Inez P. Pearce of Franklinton, and Dottie (Tony) Edwards of Franklinton; 15 grandchildren, 19  great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
