NORFOLK, VA. -- The Louisburg College Hurricanes men’s basketball team defeated Tidewater CC for the second time during the week as the Canes took to the road and defeated the Storm 88-68 last Saturday afternoon in the Hampton Roads Area of Virginia.

The two teams played to a close first half with LC going into the locker room at the break with a slim 42-40 lead.

Louisburg stepped things up on defense in the second frame as the Hurricanes limited TCC to 28 points, while scoring 46 of their own.

Sophomore forward Miles Bowman has led the Canes in scoring through the first 11 games and he kept up his steady pace scoring 28 in last Saturday’s conference win.

Trey Brown and Marcus Freeman also put in double-digit efforts as Brown scored 13, while Freeman helped out with 10 points.

The 10-1 Hurricanes will play their final game before the holiday break today when they host Sandhills CC.
