MARY LOUISE GETTMAN SPENCER
May 17, 1940 ~ March 12, 2014
KITTRELL — Mary Louise Gettman Spencer, known to her family and friends as Marylou or Mom Mom, was surrounded by her family when our Lord God called our angel to him on March 12, 2014.

She retired after working at JC Penny’s for 20 years in the Credit/Catalog department in Raleigh, NC and then worked part time as a bank teller for the NCSECU in Louisburg for 10 years. She was a longtime member of Hope Lutheran Church.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock, Monday afternoon, March 17, 2014 at Hope Lutheran Church, 3525 Rogers Road, Wake Forest, NC 27587.

Mrs. Spencer is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, William D. Spencer; children, Valerie and David Wilson, Dallas Spencer, Jananne Spencer, and Nadine Lewis; grandchildren, Kevin, Kristina and Sean Wilson, Nikki Stiles, Joshua, Shannon, and Olivia Lewis; sister, Vel and Bob Palfy. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Franklin LeRoy Gettman and Velma Claria Hobrock Gettman, and a brother, Franklin LeRoy Gettman, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Lutheran Church in memory of Marylou Spencer.

Friends may visit with the family from 6-8:00 P.M., Sunday evening, March 16, 2014 at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 405 South Main Street, Wake Forest, NC. (919-556-5811)
