NORBERT JOHN VOLLMER, JR.
November 9, 1942 – June 3, 2014

BUNN — In loving memory of N. John Vollmer, Jr., 71, of Bunn, who died peacefully Tuesday afternoon, surrounded by his family.

John was the son of N.J. Vollmer, Sr. and Ruth Mullen Vollmer; and husband of Elizabeth (Betty) Vollmer.

The funeral mass will be held Saturday, June 7th, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. Family visitation will be held immediately before the mass at 9:30 a.m. at St. Catherine’s Church Hall. Address for visitation and funeral mass: 600 W. Holding Ave, Wake Forest. A private family burial will take place on the Vollmer Farm.

John is survived by his brother, Bernie; sisters, Helen & Catherine; son, Russell; daughters, Helen, Jessica and Joy; and 8 grandchildren.

At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to: Carolina Farm Stewardship Association, a non-profit organization that advocates for fair farm and food policies, builds the systems that organic family farms need to thrive, and educates communities about local, organic farming.
