RICHARD OTHA VAUGHAN

VIRGILINA, VA --Richard Otha Vaughan of Virgilina, Va. died Monday, May 18, 2015 at the age of 53. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 21, at 11 a.m. at North Fork Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Virgilina Cemetery.

He was born in Wake County to Florette "Susie" Tuck Vaughan and the late Clinton Clayton Vaughan, Sr. and was married to Sarah Puryear Vaughan. He was a member of North Fork Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School teacher, and Royal Ambassador leader.

Surviving: his wife, Sarah Puryear Vaughan; daughter, Brooke Paige Vaughan; son, Richard Clinton Vaughan; mother, Florette "Susie" Vaughan; sisters, Brenda Vaughan Underhill of Youngsville and Linda Vaughan Robertson (Mark) of Fuquay-Varina; and a brother, C.C. Vaughan (Sonja) of Roxboro.

The family requests that memorials be made in honor of his wife, a cancer patient, to the Halifax Co. Cancer Association, PO Box 1891, Halifax, VA 24558. Online condolences may be made to www.lancasterfcs.com.
