DONALD RAY SMITH

BUNN - Donald Ray Smith. 64, of Bunn, died Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Wake Medical Center. Born on March 14, 1951 to the late James Wiley and Lucy Tharrington Smith. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Margie Billings. Donald loved to fish and ride his motorcycle. He treasured his time with his grandchildren taking pictures of every moment. He was a hardworking man, holding two jobs to provide for family he loved.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services Chapel, 804 N. Bickett Boulevard, Louisburg where funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Daren Smart officiating. Burial will be private.

He is survived by his wife, Joanie Driver Smith; his daughters, Jamie Smith (Kurt Ballash) of Fayetteville, Jodie Smith of Rocky Mount; his grandchildren, Hunter, Jayden, Kelsey and Andrew; his sisters, Avis Pernell, Mildred Roberson and Marie Pernell; his brothers, Michael Smith (Cherri) and James "Pete" Smith and his loving loyal dog, Lexi.
