EVERETTE G. HICKS
August 2, 1944 - May 9, 2016

YOUNGSVILLE - Everette Gay Hicks, 71, of Youngsville, passed away at his home Monday night.

Everett was a son of the late Lonnie and Lois C. Hicks. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna E. Hicks; sister, Lena Mae Driver.

A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

Everett is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Eddie and Heidi Hicks of Roanoke, TX; Scott and Danelle Hicks of Youngsville; sisters, Yevonne Clark of Rolesville; Lois Faye Pearce of Raleigh; Abbie Daniels (William) of Louisburg; brother, L.J. Hicks of Emerald Isle; grandchildren, Sara Marie Grant, Brittany Hicks Newell (Jacob); great-grandchildren, Cheyenne and Dakota Grant, and Olivia Newell.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Harris Chapel Baptist Church, 2960 Tarboro Rd; Youngsville, NC 27596.

The family will receive friends 7 - 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, Louisburg, www.stricklandfuneralhome.net.
