TALITHA CUMMI "TENY" HILL WILLIAMS

YOUNGSVILLE - Talitha Cummi (Teny) Williams, 72, of Youngsville passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Transitions Life Care in Raleigh. Teny struggled a long but courageous battle with cancer. She was born November 10, 1943 in Spring Hope NC, the daughter of the late Robert Newell Hill and Pattie Heading Hill. She was one of eleven siblings.

In 1961, Teny married the love of her life, Kerney Williams, and resided in Youngsville, NC, and raised four daughters, Gail Albano and her husband, Frank, of Louisburg, Janet Duke and her husband, Paul, of Louisburg, Lisa Layton and her husband, Randy, of Louisburg, and Rhonda Williams of Battleboro. She loved her grandchildren, Robert Strickland of Raleigh, Bonnie Shearin of Youngsville, David Albano of Louisburg, Joshua Layton of Franklinton, Maryann Albano of Louisburg, and Paige Whitley of Battleboro, and five great-grandchildren, Kerney Strickland, Carlton Pernell, Kayla Pernell, Skiler Layton, and Kyrian Layton; sisters, Sadie Jones of Rocky Mount, Susie Moss of Spring Hope, Berten Wilder of Bunn and Reba High of Momeyer; brothers, Willard Hill, Pete Hill, and Joe Hill, all of Spring Hope. In addition to her husband, Kerney, she was preceded in death by her sister, Louise Collie, and by her brothers, Adrain Hill and Bud Hill.

Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, June 3, 2016, at Flat Rock Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary McNair officiating. Burial was in the Wake Forest Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Flat Rock Baptist Church, 1529 Flat Rock Church Road, Louisburg, NC 27549.
