MARY HELEN R. GRIFFIN

LOUISBURG - Mary Helen Radford Griffin, 91, died Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016. The family will receive friends Wednesday, Nov. 30, from 7-8:30 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd., Louisburg. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Wood Baptist Church, with the Rev. Burwell Stark officiating. Burial will follow in the King-Dennis Family Cemetery.

She was born to the late Sam and Mamie Gupton Radford, the eldest of eight children. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Preston King and Truitt Griffin; her oldest son, James (Ellen) King; her youngest daughter, Cary (Reginald) Jones; three grandchildren; and all of her siblings.

Surviving: daughters, Mamie Faulkner (Dwight), Laura Tyson (Rodney), Frances Denton, and Mary Rocha; sons, Thomas and Preston King Jr.; 24 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
