MILTON W. DOUGLASS
May 24, 1936 - January 17, 2017

LOUISBURG - Milton Warren Douglass, 80, of Louisburg, passed away on January 17, 2017.

Milt was born in Springfield, MA. He was the son of the late Frank Taylor and Hazel Brown Douglass.

He is survived by his loving wife and (Sweet Heart) of 12 years, Patsy O'Neal Douglass; two daughters, Julie Ray and husband, Craig; Kate Douglass; two sons, Martin Harris and Nathan Douglass; three grandchildren, Katie, Meredith, Graham (Maddie) Pearce; sister, Virginia Beham of Winchester, VA; two adopted additions to this family were Sonya Shearin and his grand-dog, Bud Man.

Milt was an Eagle Scout and a graduate of Wesleyan College. He retired from IBM. Milt was the founding father of the Carying Place in Cary, NC. He was also the Director for 10 years. His passions were his family, Wood Baptist Church, bee keeping, antique auctions, gardening, The Douglass Manor, which he rehabbed to the original 1901 state, and the Carying Place.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wood Baptist Church, Youth Fund, 649 Wood Church Rd., Louisburg, NC 27549 or The Carying Place, PO Box 622, Cary, NC 27512.

A service will be held at a later date.
