GEORGE R. BALLANCE

BUNN - George Ray Ballance, 76, of Bunn departed this earthly life Monday, February 6, 2017 at Franklin Oaks. He is the son of the late Sadie Lou Ballance. George was a hardworking man, a dedicated father and his family was his life. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Ann Scott Ballance.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 4:00 to 5:45 pm at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Boulevard, Louisburg, where funeral services will follow at 6:00 pm with Pastor Glen Brock officiating. Burial will be Friday at 3:00 pm at Wakefield Town Cemetery in Wakefield, VA.

George is survived by his three sons, David Ray Ballance (Teresa) of Virginia Beach, VA, Thomas Ray Ballance (Tammy) of Pilot and George Ray Ballance, Jr. (Doreen) of Bunn; brother James T. Stansbury; seven grandchildren, Stephanie, Heather, Jonathan, Christina, Ashley, Trish and Trent; and a great-grandson, Ethan.
