JASPER "SAM" W. COLLINS, JR.

CASTALIA - Jasper "Sam" Whitaker Collins, Jr., 84, of Castalia transitioned peacefully into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at his home. Born on October 2, 1932 to the late Jasper Whitaker Collins, Sr. and Bessie C. Collins. His wife, Mary Helen Driver Collins, also preceded him in death. Sam was a people person with a sharp mind that never forgot anyone he met. One of the best car salesmen for over 50 years.

The family will receive friends Friday at 1:00 pm at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd., Louisburg, where services will follow at 2:00 pm with Pastor Johnny Gupton officiating. Interment will follow in Lancaster Memorial Park.

Sam is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Tony L. and Kathryn Collins; granddaughters, Lauren Collins and Lindsay Bell; and his great- grandson, Carter Keith.
