MILDRED W. SMITH
January 15, 1923 - June 19, 2017

LOUISBURG - Mildred Wrenn Smith, 94, of Louisburg, died Monday afternoon.

Mrs. Smith was a daughter of the late Eugene Cleveland "E.C." Wrenn and Minnie Woodlief Wrenn. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Al H. Woodlief and Joe E. Smith; daughter, Carolyn W. Langley; sisters, Eunice W. Spencer, Gladys W. Watkins, Ella W. Bailey, Lona W. Ayscue, Myrtle C. Wrenn and Dorothy "Dot" W. Clay; brothers, James Wrenn and George "Son" Wrenn. She was a member of Hickory Rock Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be held 4 p.m. Thursday at Hickory Rock Baptist Church with the Reverend Stuart Lamkin officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Mary Ann Woodlief of Louisburg; sisters, Lillian W. Pennisi of Raleigh; Jean W. Johnson; brother, Mack Wrenn; brother-in-law, Wilson Clay, all of Louisburg; grandchildren, Angie Ayscue, Karen Gardner, Wendi (Timmy) Whitley and Chris Hinton; great-grandchildren, Morgan (Erica) Wammock, Andrew Ayscue, III, Trey Gardner, Lacy Foster and Jessie Whitley; great-great-grandson, Collin Alston.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hickory Rock Baptist Church, 1580 Fire Tower Road, Louisburg, NC 27549.
