WILSON--Patsy Leonard Nobles, 79, of Wilson, died Monday, July 3, 2017.

Funeral, Friday, 11:00 AM, Wilson Memorial Service, followed by a time of visiting and sharing. Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park.

Patsy was born September 27, 1937 in Louisburg to Gorman and Clarice Leonard. She graduated from East Carolina University and taught school for 34 years.

Patsy was a lifetime member of the ladies Wilson Optimist Club. She was a kind and gentle soul who loved helping others.

She is survived by daughters, Charlene Melton (Jay) of Rocky Mount and Sheree Pierce (Robin) of Greenville; grandchildren, Sara and Joshua Melton, Jordan and Blake Pierce; brothers, Gerald and Donald Leonard, both of Louisburg.

The family would like to express much appreciation and gratitude to Ms. Mary Collins, her devoted and loyal friend and caretaker. Also, many thanks to Ms. Trudy Wood and Hospice of Wilson Medical Center.
