ROY N. ABBOTT

LOUISBURG--Roy Newcomb Abbott, 85, of Louisburg departed this earthly life on Monday, February 26, 2018 at Louisburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born on August 24, 1932 to the late Eugene and Betty Gooch Abbott. Roy was a hard worker and he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, riding his lawn mower and golf cart.

Graveside services will be held Friday at 4:00 pm, Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Mike Safley officiating.

Roy is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Phil Driver; grandchildren, Lindsay D. Rodriguez (Luis), Kendall Beck (Jon), Whitney Gill (Kevin) and Loganne Driver; great-grandchildren, Kaleb Beck, Olivia and Zachary Rodriguez; brother, Tom Abbott; and sister, Shelvia Harris.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 4272 US Hwy 401 N., Louisburg, NC 27549. Arrangements are being handled by Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd., Louisburg, N. C. 27549. Online condolences may be made to www.lancasterfcs.com.
