ROBERT H. STROTHER, SR.
April 14, 1946 - February 25, 2018

LOUISBURG - Robert Henry "Bob" Strother, Sr., 71, of Louisburg, passed away Sunday afternoon at his home.

Robert Henry was a son of the late Harvey and Minnie Conyers Strother. He was also preceded in death by his son, Bobby Strother; first wife, Sandy D. McKinney; sisters, Betty Fuller and Joyce Peoples; brother, Harvey Strother, Jr..

Robert Henry was a faithful and active member of Louisburg United Methodist Church. He served in the Army reserves and retired from I.B.M. He was a founding member of the Franklin County Wild Turkey Federation. He loved and enjoyed his family, friends and life and helping do all he could for others.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Louisburg United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. A private burial will be held at Oakwood Cemetery.

Robert Henry is survived by his wife, Joyce B. Strother of Palm Coast, FL; daughter and son-in-law, Brady S. and Pace Smith of Zebulon; stepson, Ronnie Boykin of Palm Coast, FL; grandchildren, Robert Strother, Sandy Smith and Savannah Smith, Chris Boykin, Daniel Boykin and Anna Boykin; great-grandson, Bobby Strother; sister-in-law, Ava Strother of Knightdale; brother-in-law, Kenneth Fuller of Louisburg; many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Liver Foundation Southeast Division, 9100 South Dadeland Blvd., Suite 1517, Miami, FL 33156.
