DR. MOZELLE CARVER

RALEIGH--Dr. Mozelle Carver, 91, died Tuesday, April 10, 2018. Mozelle asked in lieu of a funeral or memorial, that friends and relatives honor her life by making a donation to a charity.

She was the daughter of the late Isaiah Thomas Carver and Sadie Ball Carver of Lowes Grove, NC.

She was a professor of English composition, creative writing and methods of education for college and high-school level schools and universities over her teaching career.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Thomas Carver, Irving Carver, Vernon Carver, and Marvin Carver; and by sisters, Louise Hall, Carrie Maddry, Ruth Duncan, Gladys Lovitt and Catherine Jeffries.

Surviving: sister, Elizabeth Carver Hargrove; son, Mark Graham Vickers of Raleigh, and daughter, Sandra Vickers Haas (Paul Kersens) of Panama City Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
