BETTIE GRACE GRIFFIN BROWN

FRANKLINTON -- Bettie Grace Griffin Brown passed away on Friday, April 13th, 2018. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Nash County, the daughter of the late James Victor Griffin and Lois Dorsey Griffin, and sister of James Willard Griffin.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, April 18, 2018, in the chapel of Bright Funeral home, with the Rev. David Averette officiating. The burial will then follow at Pope's Chapel United Church, 1237 Pocomoke Rd., Franklinton, NC 27525.

Bettie Grace retired from Franklinton High School in June 2013 after 30 years as the cafeteria supervisor.

Mrs. Brown is survived by her husband, Dennis Grey Brown of Franklinton; son, James Brandon Brown and wife Courtney of Franklinton, and son Christopher Shawn Brown and wife Jennifer of Raleigh; grandchildren, Alexis Jade Brown, Cheyanne Moxley and David Moxley Jr., and Ava Mulgrew. She was also survived by her nieces, Amy Stephens Currle of Lizard Lick and Suzanne Stephens Gilroy of Wendell.

Friends may visit with the family from 2:00-2:45 prior to the service at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 405 South Main St., Wake Forest, NC 27587.
