LOUISBURG - Judy D. Dickerson, 70, of Louisburg, passed away peacefully Thursday at her home.

Judy was a daughter of the late Percy C. and Aileen M. Dickerson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Colin Overton, and her brother, Jerry Vann Dickerson.

Judy was a loving sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend. She retired after 30 years of service from Westinghouse. She was a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Helen and Bob Sanderlin of Louisburg; Ann and Freddy Wheeler of Franklinton; brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Mary Dickerson of Louisburg; many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services were held 3 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. Visitation was held 1 hour prior to the service. Burial was at Lancaster Memorial Park immediately following.
