WILSON P. CLAY

LOUISBURG--Wilson Perry Clay, 91, of Louisburg passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at his home. He was born on May 23, 1926 to the late William T. and Lillian Swanson Clay. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Dorothy "Dot" Wrenn Clay; brothers, Lonnie, Bill; his sister, Carolyn; and daughter in-law, Debbie Clay. After serving our country in the U.S. Navy during WWII, he then worked for Wrenn Motor Company and Griffin Motor Company as the service manager until his retirement.

Surviving are his sons, Gary W. Clay and his wife, Susan of Bluffton, SC, their children Wil Clay of Bluffton, SC, Molly Windsor and husband, Brock of Kansas City, MO; Wayne T. Clay and Willeen Roy of Chattanooga, TN, and Greenville, NC, respectively, his children, Ashley Clay of Chattanooga, TN, Taylor Clay of Green Bay, WI, and a great- grandchild, Logan; brother-in-law, Chester Bunn of Spring Hope, NC; and many nieces and nephews.

The family is blessed to have had special caregivers, Angela Crews, Donna Davis and Shelton Taylor, to whom they are eternally grateful.

The family will receive friends Sunday night from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services. Funeral services were held Monday at 3 pm at Louisburg United Methodist Church with Reverends Rick Clayton and Anita James-Carnes officiating. Burial followed in Oakwood Cemetery.
