LAKE ROYALE--Karen Ruth Voigt, 76, died Wednesday, May 30, 2018. A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd., Louisburg.
She was born in Cass City, Mich. to the late Glen and Stella Wolf Commins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jean Roe.
She was affectionately known as the "Dam Lady," as she was involved with the Lake Royale Dam renovations.
Surviving: sons, Jeffrey Voigt of Lake Royale, Andrew Voigt (Stephanie) of South Windsor, Conn.; daughter, Cheryl Voigt of Dearborn, Mich.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
