BETTY W. BURNETTE

LOUISBURG--Betty Jane Wrenn Burnette, age 73, of Louisburg went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 23, 2018. She was born on June 25, 1945 to the late James Cleveland and Nannie Leonard Wrenn.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Martha Skeans. Betty was a dedicated nurse for 45 years, caring for her patients at Perry-Medders Clinic from 1964-1973 and at Franklin Regional Medical Center from 1973-2009.

Her children and her grandson, Skylar were her life. She appreciated her time with all of her family and her K-9 companion, Bear, for 15 years. Betty loved all music, she loved to dance, spend time at the beach and with the horses. With her contagious smile, she never met a stranger.

The family will receive friends Thursday night from 7 to 8:30 pm at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd., Louisburg. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 am at Sandy Creek Baptist Church with Reverends Kaden Williamson and Doug Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Burnette and Crystal Williams (Wayne); grandson, Skylar Leonard; Graham Burnette, life-long friend and father of her children; siblings, Gwynda Martin (Tom Gould), Jim Wrenn (Carlee) and Melanie Fuller (Terry); and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Transitions LifeCare, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607. Online condolences may be made to www.lancasterfcs.com.
