LOUISBURG--Curtis Bell Leonard Davis Best, 96, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018. Graveside funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 18, at 11 a.m. at White Level Baptist Church, with the Rev. Doug Moore officiating.

She was born to the late Charlie and Mary House Leonard. She was known by most as "Big Mana."

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Bernard Davis and Ervin Best; sisters, Edith Aycock and Judith Leonard; a daughter, Ruby Davis Gilliam; and a son, Furman Davis.

Surviving: daughters, Sally Acree (John) of Youngsville, Millie Dickens (James) of Franklinton, Pansy Denton (Wayne) of Louisburg, and Robin Lewis of Youngsville; a brother, Bunnie Leonard; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
